The soft tissue in your body includes your muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue (fascia). During treatments we will identify and treat imbalance with the objective of preventing future injury and improving your movement.
Sports massage therapy can aid the body’s recovery from exercise and support you in preparing physically and mentally for your training or next event. It can also can help prevent or treat injury or musculoskeletal pain or dysfunction. Each treatment will start with a consultation so that we can understand your requirements and expectations. In the case of injury rehabilitation, this will include a thorough assessment. This is to ensure that treatment is tailored to your specific needs. Depending on the outcome of this we will utilise a range of different massage techniques including advanced techniques such as soft tissue release, compressions, muscle energy techniques, connective tissue/fascial release, corrective frictions and lymphatic drainage.
